These programs are designed to address today's most pressing youth issues, teaching young people the skills they need to succeed in life. From programs featuring countries around the world to cooking lessons, our club members are learning to be a well-rounded individual.

Cinema Club

All ages

Mondays 4:00 – 6:00pm. Year-round

Cinema Club is a program where the goal is to study films in the same way we have previously studied written literature, with particular emphasis on how motion pictures combine narrative, character and thematic structure in order to convey messages and draw emotional responses. The benefits the members will be gaining from participating in this program are being able to stimulate engagement, discussion, learning and review of movies, being able to reach valid conclusions on a movie’s meaning and value, and opening up new channels of awareness and new depths of understanding movies.

Nature Club

3rd – 5th Graders

Nature Clubs is a program aimed to cultivate an awareness and appreciation of the environments that surround young people. It’s designed to engage 3rd-5th grade youth in fun, experiential, environmental education activities. This interactive program allows our members to not only engage with the nature in our community, but also equips them to be conscious environmentalist of the future. 

Lego Club

Lego Club is a program where members are able to create different structures by using their imagination. This program will promote fine motor skills, encourage team work, improve creativity, develop problem solving and mathematical thinking, and develop lateral thinking and planning skills

SMART Girls is a program designed to meet the developmental needs of girls in three age groups: 7-10, 11-12, and 13-18. Through dynamic sessions, these young women explore personal and social values as they collectively work towards building healthy life styles, positive self-worth, and healthy relationships.

Come join the Boys & Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley Fall Cooking Class! Whether you are an expert or beginner, all skill levels are encouraged to join. Learn basic skills, rules of the kitchen, technique, challenging new recipes and most of all, how to HAVE FUN!

Around the World

Around the World is an interactive ten week program aimed to inspire intercultural interest and competency in our members. We approach this objective by creating a program centered on different cultural cuisines. This creative and interactive environment allow the members to learn about new cultures as they recreate the traditional meals or snacks from the highlighted country.
