The education and technology departments offer the opportunity for members to learn and explore all while having fun! These programs build on what has been learned in the classroom, spurring academic success and career development.

Reading Club Program
Breakthrough is a program that is ran at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Capistrano Valley. Breakthrough focuses on students that will be first generation college students and aides the students in the process going through school, getting good grades, and applying to college. Breakthrough starts at the middle school age and aides the students all throughout their four years of high school. Breakthrough meets at the club twice a week for tutoring and mentor-ship.
1st – 5th grade
Power Hour is the Club’s Academic Success Program that occurs Monday – Thursday from 3:00pm to 4:00pm. During this time, all members are divided up by their grade levels to work on their homework. Members earn 2 points per day for being on task, being respectful and coming prepared. The points will allow them to be part of Operation Holiday Homework which will take place on Thursday, December 12th at the Rancho Santa Margarita Regional Community Center. Operation Holiday Homework allows members to come and pick a gift for each person in their immediate family.
