The education and technology departments offer the opportunity for members to learn and explore all while having fun! These programs build on what has been learned in the classroom, spurring academic success and career development.

Reading Club Program
A one-on-one reading tutor program provided by the Parentis Foundation where elementary school aged children receive weekly help to attain grade level reading skills.
1st – 5th grade
PowerHour: Making Minutes Count helps Club members ages 6-18 achieve academic success by providing homework help, tutoring, and high-yield learning activities and encouraging members to become self-directed learners.
Monday – Thursday from 2:45pm – 3:25pm
Staff take specific members aside help them with homework. If the members completed their homework they work on vocabulary, math facts or reading to improve their knowledge.
Monday – Thursday from 5:00pm – 6:00pm
Staff assist members with their homework and any additional skills needed to complete their school work.
Thursday from 4:00pm – 5:00pm
A program that teaches members to build and program robots using the Lego Mindstorm Program. Members start their season in May learning different programming skills and team building activities. Each year in August their Competition theme is announced and they begin brainstorming their project. September and October are spent working diligently on their project to get ready for their competition that is in November.
